Terms of Service — Consumer

These Consumer Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RingDesk AI service as an individual, sole trader, or single-person business. If you are using RingDesk AI on behalf of a company or organisation with multiple users, please refer to our Commercial Terms of Service.
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
RingDesk AI provides an AI-powered telephone answering service that:
- Answers inbound calls to your forwarded business number 24/7
- Books appointments into your connected calendar in real time
- Sends you call summaries via SMS and email
- Optionally makes outbound calls to your leads (Pro plan)
The Service is provided “as-is” to the extent permitted by law. We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By accepting these Terms, you confirm this.
3. Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@ringdesk.net if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
4.1 Plans
The Service is billed monthly or annually in advance. Your plan details, including included minutes and features, are shown at /pricing and in your account dashboard.
4.2 Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full feature access. No payment method is required to start. If you add a payment method and do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period.
4.3 Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
4.4 Overage
If you exceed your plan’s included minutes, calls will continue to ring through to you directly (unanswered by AI). You will not be charged overage fees; calls simply revert to normal until your next billing cycle or until you upgrade.

Please see our dedicated Refund Policy for full details. In summary: we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month if the Service does not work as described. After 30 days, subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Make calls that violate any applicable law, including telemarketing and do-not-call regulations
- Harass, threaten, or defraud any person
- Impersonate any person or organisation
- Transmit spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or phishing attempts
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
- Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission

7. Call Recording and Privacy of Third Parties
By using the Service, you confirm that you have the legal right to record calls in your jurisdiction and, where required, that you will inform callers they may be recorded. RingDesk AI adds a brief notification at the start of calls in jurisdictions where this is required by default. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable wiretapping, recording, and privacy laws.
8. Intellectual Property
RingDesk AI retains all intellectual property rights in the Service. You retain ownership of your business data and call content. You grant RingDesk AI a limited licence to process your data to provide the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RingDesk AI’s total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profits damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with a legal obligation, with notice where reasonably practicable.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For users in the EU, mandatory local consumer protection laws apply and are not overridden by this clause.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of material changes by email. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept changes, you may cancel your account.
